The William Tell Overture is the overture to the opera William Tell, whose music was composed by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini. William Tell premiered in 1829.
The overture is in four parts without pause.
The four acts:
Sunrise in the Alps.
The Storm.
Shepherd on the mountainside.
Revolution.
The story is about a Swiss archer
seeking Revolution and Swiss independence
Widely recognized as the theme to The Lone Ranger, Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny and The
Flintstones can all be credited for the Overtures presence in popular cartoons.
