Music inspires us to think of our favorite songs. Some of the requests I receive from my piano students are: Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, Star Wars Theme song, Peanuts Theme song, A Whole New World, Don't Stop Believ'n - Journey, Minuet in G, The Entertainer, Twinkle Twinkle to name a few.
Favorite vocal songs: Highschool Musical songs have been popular! Somewhere Over the Rainbow, A Thousand Years, Taylor Swift songs.
What is your favorite song you would like to learn to play on the piano or sing?
One of my favorite piano pieces is To A Wild Rose by Edward Macdowell.
I also like Billy Joel!

Songwriting can be very therapeutic as well. When we write a song we express ourselves and get out emotions and thoughts. Sometimes a song has no lyrics it is just the music. The music tells a story or represents a theme, feeling or something in nature. Whichever way writing your own song is a skill and art you can grow here at Holly Butcher Music.
